Before you ask: turn call forwarding off
Deleting your account does not stop your calls being forwarded. Forwarding is a setting at your mobile carrier, not with us, and deleting your data cannot reach it. Turn it off first, or your calls will ring into nothing.
Deleting your account in the app turns forwarding off for you first. If you
ask by email instead, turn it off yourself: dial ##004# from your
phone (on Jio, *413), which clears call forwarding at your
carrier.
Support has more on this.
How to ask
In the app, which is fastest: Settings > Privacy & data > Delete account. It turns call forwarding off, then deletes everything listed below at once.
By email, if you no longer have the app: zenlead.info@gmail.com with the subject Delete my account, and include the phone number your account is registered to. Send it from an address we can reach you at — we may write back once to confirm it is really you, and we will not delete an account on an unverified request, because doing so would let anyone wipe someone else's history.
By email, we answer within 7 days, and delete everything listed below within those 7 days. You will get an email confirming it is done.
What is deleted
All of it:
- your account and the phone number it is registered to;
- your settings — language, voice, greeting, forwarding state;
- every call record: the caller's number, the time, the outcome;
- every transcript and every AI summary;
- every call recording, if you had recording switched on;
- the contacts you synced, and the groups and instructions you made;
- your standing notes about what you were expecting;
- the names the service learned for people who called you;
- your device's notification addresses;
- our technical logs of your calls, which carry your number.
What is kept
Nothing that identifies you. Two narrow exceptions, which exist for everyone:
- Where the law requires it. If we are under a legal obligation to retain something — a court order, a lawful request from an authority — we keep only that, only for as long as required.
- Anonymous operational counts. Totals such as how many calls the service handled in a month, which carry no number, no name and no transcript, and cannot be traced back to you.
The shared caller database is handled separately. It contains what callers said about themselves, not anything about you, so it is not tied to your account. If a number of yours appears in it and you want it removed, say so in the same email and we will remove it.
If you only want part of it gone
You do not have to delete everything to remove something:
- Recordings — Settings > Privacy & data > Delete all recordings removes them now; summaries and transcripts stay. Switching recording off stops new ones. Recordings are deleted after 30 days on their own anyway.
- Synced contacts — turning off contact syncing in the app deletes the copies we hold, except anyone you put in a group or wrote an instruction for. Ask us if you want those gone too.
- One call — tell us which and we will delete that call, its transcript and its recording.
How deletion works, honestly
In the app, deletion happens the moment you confirm it. By email, a person carries the request out by hand, which is why we say 7 days rather than instantly. Deleted information is removed from our live database; backup copies are overwritten on their normal cycle, within 30 days.
